Career

Laila received her BFA in Theatre Arts at Rutgers University's Mason  Gross School of the Arts and has studied under Margie Haber, Lesly Khan,  Ivana Chubbuck. She is also an alumna of the improv group, Upright  Citizen's Brigade.

Recently, Laila starred as ' Pepa' in  Lifetime’s "Salt-N-Pepa,” which debuted on Lifetime, January 23rd. The  film tells the story of nursing students Cheryl "Salt" James and Sandra  "Pepa" Denton, and how they formed 80's hip-hop group, Salt-N-Pepa.  Laila's other credits include "The Bobby Debarge Story", "Phantom Halo",  "Game Shakers'' and "Undercover Brother 2.” She has also contributed to  Kevin Hart's LOL Network and All Def Digital.

Beyond acting,  Laila is committed to leading a healthy, balanced lifestyle which she  shares regularly on social media through international travel, beauty,  skincare, workout, and style content.
